Hellroaring Trail

Our first try at hiking in Yellowstone. Larry "Ward" Partain gave this one a thumbs up, so we get our gear lined out and away we go. But a wise man told us that the key to hiking is to do the uphill part first. But he told us after we had finished this mile jaunt straight down to this suspension bridge. So we were all smiles as we reach the bridge and pose for a pic.

So then we start the mile trek back up the 700 foot drop we just completed. Climbing at 7000' elevation was not easy for folks who live at sea level.



Dad hammers along as we reach the trailhead. No trouble sleeping that night for sure.
